Why aren't I sleeping?

It's four am, and I'm awake- I have terrible heartburn from all the meat that I overate for dinner. Gack. It feels terrible.

My dear husband is away for a few weeks. He's working as a datacenter techie for the Red Cross. Being a single mom even just for a few days is exhausting, and I miss him. Nova destroyed our land line phone, and I can't find the cordless (the battery is dead) so my only working phone is our VOIP phone. So if you're trying to call me, call that number.

I'm feeling really frustrated with my eating habits. I seriously feel like I have no control over my impulses. I hope that eases up as Elliott gets bigger.

Speaking of which, the little man is not only walking (WALKING!!!), and running (just for a few steps), he can wave bye-bye and say "hi!" OMG, he's at such a CUTE age. If only they stayed like this for just a little longer. Of course, now he runs and latches on to my leg when I try to walk around and get anything around the house done. But he doesn't want to be in a sling on my back, oh NOOOO, that would make life too easy. Where's my New Native pouch, btw? (mom!)

I finally bought new shoes. I probably should buy a second pair in a month or two, so that I don't wear this one out. They are pretty cool. Rykas. I was pleased to see that I could fit into an 8 1/2 because the forefoot is pretty wide. Really, I think an 8 1/2 D would have been better, at least on my right foot, because it's a tiny bit snug, but I'll live. Normally I can't buy womens shoes at all because my feet are too wide.

I promise I'll make a new post soon.

I have to go pick Jade up from *gasp* school.

More on that soon.

Okay, I'm back.

Is it already September?! Time flies.

Jade started school the week before Labor Day. I had planned right up until the last minute to continue homeschooling her. For a variety of reasons, I changed my mind. Thus, I will soon be adding a "Learning and School and Everywhere page."

I'm still going to the gym almost everyday. I love the yoga classes that I take twice a week. I missed yoga today. I've injured my knee (even standing for more than 5 or 10 minutes hurts) and we had a very difficult night, sleepwise. So today I putzed around the house, nursed the baby a lot, and played with and read to Nova.
