Pictures Coming Soon!
We've been keeping very busy the past few weeks (see my homeschooling page if you haven't already), but have taken a few good pictures. Our power keeps going out, and the computer that the pictures are on is flaky, otherwise I'd add them ASAP. Hopefully I can do it before our trip to Michigan! But they are great. We have a few of Jade playing chess with Daddy and soime of Jade and me practising the violin! Of course we'll add some of the littles for good measure.
Looking forward to my trip
I am a tiny bit anxious about it, and I know I am going to be exhausted when I arrive. But I am thrilled to be seeing our families, and OH MAN! MY BABY SISTER IS GETTING MARRIED NEXT WEELK!!!!! I'm still kinda freaking about that one. Is this guy good enough for her? Is he going to treat her right, support her emotionally, love her unconditionally? She loves him, and respects and trusts him, so I trust her judgement. But man, do I ever love my sister, so he'd better not turn into some kind of freaking bastard! Because if he does, I'll tell you what!!! Well, I guess if he does, I'll be there to hug my sister, give her a shoulder to cry on, listen, and fume internally. :P But that will not happen. Because Amanda is a good judge of character, and I see happiness in her future!
So about my plans for the trip
I plan on having everything READY TO GO Wednesday afternoon by 5:00pm. My plane doesn't leave until 10:10, but I want to have plenty of time to load up the car, go out for dinner, drive to SFO, and be at the gate between 9 and 9:20. Traveling with three small children, I want to have ENOUGH time, but not TOO much time, kwim? So we fly straight through and arrive in Detroit at 5:35 AM, Thursday morning. Either my Mom or my Dad is supposed to pick us up. We'll have three small carry on bags, a car seat, and a suit case. Should I bring a stroller, or am I better off without one? I'm thinking two slings, but maybe an umbrella stroller too. They aren't very expensive, but they also aren't very reliable.
I hope to take the kids to the Ann Arbor Hands On Mueseum and the Flint Children's Mueseum. There's a mall that has an indoor plyground with giant food to climb on. We might go there, watch a movie, and hang out one day. My Grandma Nana Annie will be there most of the days we will, so we'll hang out with her. Hopefully there will be snow for the kids to play in, and we might walk around int he snow a few times. I intend to try and go bowling at least once, perferably NOT right before my Dad has a league... Hopefully I'll get together with my friends Tiffant and Karen, the only two from high school that I still keep in touch with. I'll hang out with family, and OF COURSE watch my sister GET MARRIED!!!
Should be a good time...
